5th Pathevo®-Engineering Hands-On Workshop
On the afternoon of November 5, 2007, Owen Software held its fifth Pathevo®-Engineering demonstration/mini-workshop at the Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, MD. The demonstration was attended by the college provost, Dr. Judy Oleks, along with members of the college Career Center staff and the head of the Department of Mathematics. Dr. Adeboyejo Oni conducted the demonstration, with assistance from Mr. Streett Broadbent of Owen Software, and they were both on hand thereafter to caucus with the attendees and answer question about student subscriptions.October 26, 2007
4th Pathevo®-Engineering Hands-On Workshop
Owen Software's fourth Pathevo®-Engineering demonstration/mini-workshop was held on October 26, 2007 on the campus of Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. The half-day session was held starting from 9am, and ended about noon. The demonstration was organized and facilitated by Ms. Glenda Jones of Prairie View A&M University Career Center, and was attended by several of the engineering department chairpersons, the Career Center staff as well as the assistant provost of the engineering college. The consensus was that the demonstration was excellent, and well-received. The demonstration was conducted by Dr. Ade Oni and Mr. Streett Broadbent.October 25, 2007
3rd Pathevo®-Engineering Hands-On Workshop
Owen Software's third Pathevo®-Engineering demonstration/mini-workshop was held on October 25, 2007 at two locations in Houston, TX: the morning session was held at the Houston Community College-Downtown (HCC) in Houston, Texas, while the afternoon session was held on the campus of Texas Southern University (TSU) in Houston, TX. The HCC demonstration was hosted by Mr. Sam Dibrell, the head of the Career Counseling department at HCC Downtown, with five of his colleagues at HCC participating. Ms. Vera McDaniels of TSU's NASA University Research Center helped organize the afternoon session at TSU, a demonstration that was attended be several faculty and staff. TSU indicated the institution's intention to subscribe their students to Pathevo®-Engineering immediately following the demonstration. Both of these demonstrations were conducted by Dr. Ade Oni and Mr. Streett Broadbent.October 11, 2007
2nd Pathevo®-Engineering Hands-On Workshop>
Owen Software's second Pathevo®-Engineering hands-on workshop was held at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT-Dallas), and included a separate Pathevo®-Engineering demonstration at the Texas Christian University (TCU) in Dallas, TX. The UT-Dallas workshop was a half-day affair, involving joint participants from UT Dallas and UT Arlington, and was proctored by workshop instructor Ms. Christianne "Kippi" Fagerlund of Lucid IDS, Inc. The Pathevo® demonstration to faculty on the TCU campus was conducted by Dr. Ade Oni, with assistance from Dr. William Marshall of TCU.April 11, 2007
1st Pathevo®-Engineering Hands-On Workshop
On April 11, 2007, Owen Software held its first hands-on Pathevo®-Engineering Workshop at the University of Maryland - University College Conference Center in College Park, Maryland. The workshop was an all-day affair, starting at 9:00am and ending at 4:00pm. Twelve participants were present, and got the opportunity to be the first formal group that would use the Pathevo® application in its completed form, the way the typical subscriber would use the application. The workshop instructor, Dr. Kathy Schubel, was on hand to assist the workshop participants as necessary, to navigate the functions of the application. Participants filled out anonymous surveys afterwards, and gave the workshop and the Pathevo® application an averaged rating of 4.5 out of a possible 5.0.
